Tay Ninh currently has 33,844 martyrs recorded, of which 24,422 martyrs have been identified (the remains have been found). The search and identification of martyrs is being coordinated by all levels and sectors in the province with many solutions, including the application of DNA assessment techniques.
Through the process of reviewing and mobilizing relatives to provide DNA testing samples, up to now, 6,699 relatives of a foreign family have provided biological samples for examination for 4,909 cases of unidentified martyrs. However, there are still 4,513 martyrs without relatives who can provide DNA samples for comparison, so there are difficulties in identity verification.
Recently, Tay Ninh Provincial Police in coordination with the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order (Ministry of Public Security) and GeneStory Company have organized the collection of samples for 144 cases who are relatives of unidentified martyrs. Of these, 39 cases were mothers of martyrs and 105 cases were other family members.

Collecting DNA samples from martyrs' relatives is an important step, contributing to the work of gratitude, gratitude, as well as gradually clarifying the identities of those whose children sacrificed for the Fatherland.
The government and functional agencies of Tay Ninh province continue to encourage people, especially relatives of martyrs, to actively participate in providing samples for appraisal work, contributing to reducing the pain of the war that continues in many families.
