In the context of digital transformation becoming an inevitable trend, the armed forces of An Giang province have synchronously deployed many breakthrough solutions, linking administrative reform with the application of information technology and improving digital capacity for officers and soldiers.
An Giang is a locality with a particularly important ge strategic location, as well as an upstream province of the Mekong River. Faced with the increasingly high requirements of national defense and security tasks, the Party Committee - Military Command (CHQS) of An Giang province identified administrative reform and digital transformation as not only a trend of the times but also a strategic, long-term task, directly contributing to improving the effectiveness of leadership and command in the provincial armed forces.
On the basis of thoroughly grasping the resolutions and directives of the Ministry of National Defense and the Military Region 9 Command, the Provincial Military Command issued a thematic resolution; established and perfected the Steering Committee for administrative reform and digital transformation. Focus on investing in information technology infrastructure, synchronously deploying document and work file management systems using digital signatures, military correspondence and online television conferences.
The effectiveness of digital transformation is clearly demonstrated in practical work. In 2025 alone, the clerical department of the Provincial Military Command received 12,340 arrivals (an increase of 45.4% compared to 2024), and issued 10,137 arrivals (an increase of 40.4%). The application of digital signatures and document processing in the digital environment has contributed to reducing printing documents, saving costs, and at the same time improving timeliness and accuracy in direction and operation, meeting the requirements of tasks in all situations.
At the regional Defense Commands and affiliated units, 100% of computers are connected to the military data transmission network and have installed solutions to ensure information security. The processing of military records and documents is carried out quickly, smoothly, and absolutely safely, without leading to information insecurity or leakage of military documents.
Practice shows that digital transformation has brought comprehensive and direct results to the Provincial Military Command and the regional Defense Commands. Thanks to the synchronous implementation of digital platforms, the leadership, command and operation effectiveness of the Provincial Military Command has been significantly improved. Orders, directives, and directive documents are conveyed quickly, accurately, and promptly from the Command to the regional Defense Commands, ensuring smoothness in all conditions, especially when handling sudden and emergency situations.
For the regional Defense Commands, the organization and implementation methods of tasks have undergone fundamental changes towards science and modernity; the reception, processing, and reporting of information has been significantly shortened, contributing to helping commanders at all levels proactively grasp the situation, promptly advise, and effectively handle arising situations, improve the ability to manage the area and be ready for combat.
Colonel Nguyen Van Nganh, Commander of the An Giang Provincial Military Command, emphasized: Digital transformation helps shorten work processing time, improve command and operation efficiency. More importantly, this is the basis for the provincial armed forces to improve the quality of the overall process, proactively completing tasks well in all situations".
