On October 31, at the An Giang Provincial Cultural - Arts Center, a workshop on digital transformation in An Giang province in 2025 took place, with the theme: "Faster digital transformation, more effective, closer to the people".
Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Permanent Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong emphasized: The workshop is meaningful, demonstrating the high political determination of An Giang province in implementing Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo and Action Program No. 02 of the Provincial Party Committee on science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
The workshop is not only a forum for exchanging and sharing experiences, but also a space for connecting between the Government - Enterprises - Experts - People, to spread the spirit of digital transformation in all aspects of life, contributing to the successful implementation of the An Giang Provincial Digital Transformation Program for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030.
Determining the importance and great benefits of Digital Transformation for the direction, management and socio-economic development of government committees at all levels, for the development of businesses and the lives, production and business of the people, in the past time, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee have issued many programs, plans and projects to implement the period up to 2025 and orient to 2030, especially focusing on allocating basic funding to meet requirements.
The province's digital platforms, such as: text management and operation system, Online television conference system, Online public service portal, SmartAnGiang system, e-commerce platform... have been widely deployed. Community digital technology groups in localities have become an extended arm of the government, bringing technology closer to the people. Digital government is gradually taking shape; the digital economy is being focused on promoting strong development in the fields of trade, tourism, and agriculture; the digital society has become increasingly present in education, healthcare, and social security.
However, the digital transformation process into practice still faces many difficulties and inadequacies; requiring high political determination, synchronous action, and the cooperation of the entire political system, business community and the entire population, especially investment resources from the budget and businesses.
The workshop focused on a number of major contents such as: sharing models, experiences and digital technology solutions in developing digital infrastructure, digital platforms, artificial intelligence (AI) to serve digital government, digital economy and digital society; exchanging solutions to ensure network information security, protect data of organizations and individuals in the digital transformation process...
At the workshop, delegates, experts, and businesses presented papers, agencies and localities raised issues, exchanged practical needs, thereby connecting with businesses and experts to form digital problems and solutions suitable for each field; including the formation of other specialized and in-depth seminars after this workshop.
On this occasion, 15 enterprises operating in the fields of digital technology, digital infrastructure, post and telecommunications, and artificial intelligence inside and outside the province also exhibited and displayed products, solutions, and application models related to digital transformation, digital data, digital infrastructure, and AI.
