To celebrate the 136th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), Tuyen Quang Provincial Library organizes an exhibition space and digital documents about President Ho Chi Minh from May 19 - 29, attracting a large number of students and readers to visit and experience, according to VNA.
The activity marks a shift from displaying traditional books and newspapers to applying digital technology in serving readers and traditional education.
The exhibition space introduces nearly 500 books, newspapers, and documents about Ho Chi Minh's life, revolutionary career, ideology, and ethics. At the same time, the program provides 103 documents digitized by Tuyen Quang Provincial Library along with 350 electronic documents linked from the data warehouse of the National Political Publishing House Truth, Ho Chi Minh Digital Archive and Ho Chi Minh City Library.
The highlight of the program is the 3D virtual reality experience area, allowing viewers to learn about places associated with President Ho Chi Minh such as Tan Trao Special National Relic Site, Kim Lien village, Pac Bo and Ho Chi Minh Museum through a touch screen system, audio narration and multimedia projection equipment.
The digital document space is arranged with 15 QR codes for lookup, 6 computers and smart interactive screens, connected to the Tuyen Quang digital library platform implemented from the end of 2024 under the library industry digital transformation program.
Right on the opening day, the activity attracted hundreds of turns of students, teachers and young readers to participate. Many students expressed interest in the form of searching for documents using QR codes and experiencing digital space.
Dang Quang Thai, a 6A1 student at Le Quy Don Secondary School (Tuyen Quang), said that just scanning a QR code can view images, listen to explanations and experience 3D simulation, making history closer and easier to understand.
Mr. Dang Tien Thanh - Deputy Director of Tuyen Quang Provincial Library - said that the unit is continuing to promote digitization of local geographical and historical documents; expanding the digital document warehouse and building digital tours to serve students and readers.
According to Mr. Thanh, Tuyen Quang Provincial Library is gradually becoming an open learning space, where digital technology contributes to bringing history, culture and revolutionary heritage closer to the community, especially the younger generation.
Connecting digital sources with the system of historical relics in the area such as the Tan Trao Special National Relic Area also opens up a new direction for the model of experiential education and learning tourism in the resistance capital.
With innovative, modern and interactive approaches, Tuyen Quang Provincial Library has gradually improved its efficiency in serving readers, affirming the role of public libraries in the digital transformation of culture, contributing to spreading the value of Ho Chi Minh's heritage in the digital environment.
