In the middle of the Cao Muon forest, Ba Vinh commune (Quang Ngai) is home to more than 95% of the Hre ethnic people. Not only rich in revolutionary traditions, the locality also preserves many unique cultural values such as the sound of gong ba, gong nam, Ta leu, Ka choi tunes, xoang dance and many traditional festivals, according to the e-Portal of Quang Ngai Provincial Police.
Identifying preserving cultural identity associated with building a people's movement to protect national security as a key task, in the past time, Ba Vinh Commune Police proactively coordinated with local Party committees, authorities, village elders, prestigious people and artisans to strengthen meetings and grasp the people's lives; and at the same time propagate and mobilize people to preserve and promote the good traditional cultural values of the Hre ethnic group.
Visiting each family, sitting by the fire, listening to gongs, learning folk songs and customs has become an opportunity for the police force to be more attached to the people. Through this, officers and soldiers understand the thoughts and aspirations of the people, and at the same time promote the role of village elders and prestigious people in propagating the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State; mobilizing people to unite, build a cultural life and maintain security and order right from the grassroots level.
With prestige and exemplary behavior, the team of village elders and reputable people has become a bridge between the government and the people; actively mobilizing children and grandchildren to preserve the language, musical instruments, costumes, folk songs and traditional cultural values of the Hre ethnic group.
Thereby contributing to consolidating the great national unity bloc, building a healthy cultural environment and strengthening consensus in the community.
Reality shows that where cultural identity is preserved, solidarity is promoted, people trust in Party committees, authorities and police forces, creating a solid foundation for ensuring security and order.
In the coming time, Ba Vinh Commune Police will continue to promote its core role in the movement of all people protecting national security; strengthen coordination with village elders, prestigious people and artisans to preserve and promote the Hre cultural identity. Thereby contributing to building a people's security posture associated with an increasingly solid people's heart posture, building a peaceful, rich in identity and sustainable development of Ba Vinh.
