In the past term, elderly association members of Tra Lien commune have donated 321m2 of land, contributed 34 working days and more than 15 million VND to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and protect the environment. The whole commune also has 170 elderly households recognized as good production and business at all levels.
The above outstanding results were announced at the 1st Congress of the Tra Lien Commune Elderly Association, term 2026 - 2031, held on the morning of July 28 in the locality.
The Tra Lien Commune Elderly Association currently has 587 members, operating in 6 branches. Over the past time, the emulation movement "Old Age - Bright Example" has been widely implemented, promoting the prestige and experience of the elderly in maintaining security and order, building a cultural life in residential areas, educating traditions for the young generation and participating in local socio-economic development.
With a spirit of democracy, responsibility and high unity, the Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Tra Lien Commune Elderly Association for the term 2026 - 2031 consisting of 8 members. Mr. Duong Lai was trusted to be elected as Chairman of the Association.
