On November 6, the Steering Committee for the Military-Civilian Tet activities of Kien Giang province for the period 2021 - 2025 held a conference to deploy the plan for the Departure Ceremony to carry out the Military-Civilian Tet activities in 2025 to celebrate Chol Chnam Thmay of the Khmer ethnic people in Ban Thanh commune, Giong Rieng district.

According to the plan, the Departure Ceremony will take place on November 19, 2024 in Ban Thach commune. In addition to cultural and artistic activities, a plan will be implemented to organize activities and organize labor to help the locality and people. Implement social welfare projects such as: building, repairing and upgrading bridges and rural roads; clearing and collecting garbage in the area; providing funding to support house construction for people, awarding scholarships to poor Khmer ethnic students who overcome difficulties, study well, and build solidarity houses.

Colonel Cao Minh Tam, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Organizing Committee for the 2025 Military-Civilian Tet activities, requested the People's Committee of Giong Rieng district, the Military Command of Giong Rieng district and the People's Committee of Ban Thach commune to closely coordinate with departments, branches, sectors and localities, and continue to actively develop detailed and specific action plans.

Survey the location of the military launch ceremony, build and repair social welfare works. In particular, do a good job of propaganda for cadres and people to deeply understand the content and meaning of the activities, demonstrating the care and concern of the authorities at all levels and the armed forces for the Khmer people. Consolidate and strengthen the great national unity bloc, at the same time create a joyful, warm atmosphere, and affection between the army and the people.
