Nghe An - Bamboo growing model combines border security with increasing income, improving the lives of mountainous areas and ethnic minorities.

On December 25, information from the People's Committee of My Ly commune (Nghe An) said that the commune had just coordinated with My Ly Border Guard Station to organize a launching ceremony to deploy the "Border Bamboo Rattan" model in the area, aiming to strengthen a sustainable border associated with socio-economic development.

At the program, border guards, soldiers and local people planted bamboo along key areas, creating green landscapes, contributing to environmental protection, preventing landslides and strengthening the people's border defense posture.

According to the leader of My Ly commune, the model not only has defensive value but also creates more livelihoods for people: "Border bamboo is both a natural shield to protect the border and opens up a direction for green economic development from bamboo. When bamboo trees grow, people can exploit them as raw materials for production, contributing to increasing income and improving their lives".
