On the afternoon of August 18, An Giang Provincial Police organized a ceremony to offer incense and flowers to commemorate at the National Historical Relic Area of the Security Board of Zone IX, in Minh Trung hamlet, U Minh Thuong commune. Colonel Tran Van Cung, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, chaired the ceremony.
In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, delegates offered flowers, incense and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the great President Ho Chi Minh; commemorating heroic martyrs, generations of leaders, cadres, and soldiers of the Security Forces of Zone IX who bravely fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, national reunification, national security protection, social order and safety, and the peaceful life of the people.

Before the spirit of previous generations, officers and soldiers of An Giang Provincial Police vow to continue to inherit and promote the glorious traditions of previous generations; absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the People; constantly cultivate political bravery, moral qualities, improve professional qualifications; maintain solidarity, discipline, order, uphold the spirit of ingenuity, courage, proactiveness, creativity, and determination to excellently complete all assigned tasks.
The National Historical Relic Site of the Security Board of Zone IX is a red address marking the process of operation, combat and growth of the Security Forces of Zone IX during the years of resistance war against the US for national salvation. In the conditions of fierce war, officers and soldiers of the Security Forces of Zone IX persistently stayed, overcame countless difficulties and dangers, were resourceful and creative in work and combat, and made many feats of arms, making an important contribution to the cause of national liberation.
The incense and flower offering ceremony is an activity of profound political significance, expressing the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source", gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of previous generations.

This is also a practical activity on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2026), the 21st anniversary of the All People's Day for National Security Protection and the 138th birthday of President Ton Duc Thang (August 20, 1888 – August 20, 2026).
