The program to start construction of Great Solidarity houses for disadvantaged households is implemented in Duc Tho village, Bu Dang commune, Dong Nai city.
Attending the program were Ms. To Thi Hue - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, Ms. Bui Thi Thuy Kieu - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bu Dang commune. Representatives of leaders of associations, unions and supported families.
At the program, delegates attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of 8 Great Solidarity houses. In addition, 2 more house repair projects were implemented for households in difficult circumstances.
The total cost of implementing the program is 560 million VND, deducted from the Dong Nai City Fund for the Poor. Of which 480 million VND is for building 6 new Great Solidarity houses (80 million VND/house), 80 million VND is for repairing 2 houses (40 million VND/house).
According to Ms. Bui Thi Thuy Kieu - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bu Dang commune, this meaningful program helps near-poor and difficult households stabilize their accommodation. Thereby, it shows the spirit of solidarity, mutual affection, creating motivation for people to feel secure in labor production and rise up in life.
In the coming time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bu Dang commune will continue to closely monitor the construction progress, ensuring the quality of the project to soon hand over and put the house into effective use.
