Taking advantage of the gullibility, language barriers and difficult circumstances of ethnic minorities, human traffickers are increasingly using sophisticated tricks to lure victims. Faced with this situation, Tuyen Quang Provincial Police are synchronously implementing many solutions to raise awareness and proactively prevent from the grassroots level.
In Lung Tam commune (Tuyen Quang), the police force regularly conducts direct propaganda at the market fair - where subjects often approach women and girls using online dating tricks and job brokerage for "light work, high salary".

Officers and soldiers use both common and Mong and Dao languages to disseminate laws, coordinate with village heads and reputable people to "go to every alley, knock on every door", helping people identify the tricks of criminals.
Major Vu Hoai Linh, Head of Lung Tam Commune Police, said that the victims are mainly women aged 16-30, with limited legal awareness. Propaganda in ethnic minority languages helps people easily access information and raise vigilance against attractive but potentially risky invitations.
Across the province, Tuyen Quang Police organized many propaganda campaigns in residential areas and schools; distributed bilingual leaflets, and built social networking sites and Zalo security groups to promptly warn of new tricks of criminals.
The police force also closely coordinates with the Border Guard to strengthen control of trails, open paths, and manage residence and entry and exit to prevent illegal emigration rings.

According to the Criminal Police Department, in 2025, functional forces prosecuted and investigated 2 cases with 3 subjects; in the first 6 months of 2026, investigated 3 cases with 4 defendants, prosecuted and tried first-instance 4 cases with 5 defendants. The cases mainly related to tricks to lure victims to Myanmar, China by promising high-wage jobs or selling women to China as wives.
Along with the struggle, functional forces actively supported victims to return to their localities. In the first 6 months of 2026, the Provincial Police coordinated to rescue 2 women suspected of being victims of trafficking, received 28 citizens returned by Cambodia and ensured 100% of the victims' requests for legal assistance were received and resolved.
The Provincial Police recommends that people only register for jobs and export labor through licensed units, do not provide personal information, OTP codes, transfer money to strangers and promptly report to the police when detecting suspicious signs.
