Responding to the spirit of "Mutual affection", "Healthy leaves protect torn leaves", recently the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Hoi commune have coordinated with the Youth Connection Group and philanthropists to implement support in building "Houses of Compassion" for households in particularly difficult circumstances in Chieng Pan 2 village, Gia Hoi commune, Lao Cai province.
The supported family is Mr. Lo Van Phuong's household, which is a poor household in the locality. For many years, the family has lived in a house that has seriously deteriorated, posing a potential risk of unsafety, especially during the rainy and storm season. Narrow economic conditions make it impossible for the family to repair or build a new house.

Faced with that situation, the Party Committee and local authorities actively called for and connected organizations, individuals and philanthropists to join hands to support funding to help Mr. Phuong's family have a more stable place to live.
The program received the companionship of Mr. and Mrs. Manh Thuy's family (Hanoi) and the support of the Youth Connection Group. The total cost of supporting the house construction is 55 million VND.
Representatives of the Gia Hoi commune government said that supporting the construction of "House of Compassion" not only helps poor households improve living conditions but also demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and sharing of the community towards those in difficult circumstances in the area.
The new house is expected to become a motivation for Mr. Lo Van Phuong's family to stabilize their lives, feel secure in working and producing, and gradually rise out of poverty.
This is also a practical activity contributing to the effective implementation of social security work in the locality, spreading good human values and consolidating the great national unity bloc.
