Cau Ong Lanh Ward coordinates with pagodas to give gifts and repair Great Solidarity houses

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Cau Ong Lanh ward coordinated with temples to organize "Compassion Day" to give gifts to people in difficult circumstances.

Compassion Day" takes place at Minh Duc Secondary School (Cau Ong Lanh ward, Ho Chi Minh City) on May 23, with many practical and meaningful activities to help people in difficult circumstances, contributing to spreading the spirit of compassion and mutual affection of the government and pagodas in the area during the Buddha's Birthday season.

The program is organized by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cau Ong Lanh Ward (HCMC) in coordination with pagodas in the ward, to care for people in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the Buddha's Birthday 2570 - Solar 2026.

The program presented 260 gifts (total value of 78 million VND), each worth 300,000 VND, including necessities (rice, noodles, seasoning, soy sauce...) to people in difficult circumstances and lonely elderly people in Cau Ong Lanh ward.

In addition, the program also supported the repair of 1 Great Solidarity house with a total value of 60,000,000 VND, contributing to supporting poor households to have more conditions to stabilize their accommodation and feel secure in rising up in life. On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also had propaganda activities, disseminating knowledge about dengue fever prevention and control; free medical examination and treatment; organizing "0-dong clothing stall"...

Venerable Thich Minh Quang, abbot of Van Tho Pagoda, said that this is an activity that pagodas in Cau Ong Lanh ward such as: Lam Te Pagoda, Long An, Phap Buu, Phap Thong, Thien Phuoc, Linh Phuoc, Phat An, Linh Son, Phap Hoa Monastery,... join hands with local authorities to implement.

This action of the pagodas in the ward not only contributes to spreading the compassionate spirit of Buddhist children, but also to offer to the Buddha, his birth," Venerable Thich Minh Quang added.
