Hoang Hoang is adjacent to Vu Diem, born in 1705 in Tho Vuong village (Tien Loc district), now Can Loc commune, Ha Tinh province in a family with a family tradition of Faculty.
Since childhood, Vu Diem has been famous for being intelligent and good at studying. At the age of 24, he passed the Huong Toan nguyen exam; passed the Hoi exam in 1739, passed the Hoang Border exam to his doctorate. He used to work as an official in Nghe An town and many other places, and was respected by the people for his honest, upright virtue and wholeheartedness for the people.
At the age of 41, he passed away suddenly, causing grief to the people, and many places have built temples for him, including Vu Diem Church - a provincial-level historical and cultural relic in Can Loc commune.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Viet Truong - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh affirmed: The example of studiousness, honest personality and the spirit of dedication to the people, for the country of the Imperial City of Vu Diem still retains its value.
He is the vivid embodiment of the ideal of service, the core of the talented people whose homeland and country are always proud and respectful of.
The celebration is an opportunity to commemorate, express gratitude and continue the good traditions that the Imperial court of Vu Diem left behind; is a motivation for the Party Committee and people of Ha Tinh to firmly step on the new development path, promote responsibility in preserving the national cultural identity, and contribute to building an increasingly rich and civilized homeland.
On this occasion, delegates, relatives of the family and local people came to offer incense to express their respect and gratitude to the famous court official Vu Diem.
