This is not just a simple art exhibition but also an important mark for artists who have devoted almost their entire life to their passion and dedication to art, especially when artist Do Son is at an "uncommon" age.
The exhibition "Do Son's paintings" starting from October 3 - 9 at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum will create an opportunity for the artists and the public of the capital to admire the works of art that artist Do Son has distilled in his nearly 60-year journey of holding a paltry.

With 92 paintings, including many impressive paintings, with a variety of materials selected from the artist's family's archives, especially some paintings painted recently, when the artist was old.
Since his 4th solo exhibition in 2008 at Thang Long Gallery, Hanoi, 17 years later, at the age of over 80, artist Do Son has just returned to his 5th solo exhibition. This exhibition is therefore not only meaningful to him personally, but also brings much expectation to the public who love the name and talent of talented painters.
This is not only an opportunity for the public to admire the paintings of artist Do Son, but also an artistic journey that brought him back with memories, emotions and creative milestones for more than half a century in the palm of a handful. It is a complete return to the artistic space and soul.

The exhibition also introduces many special works by artist Do Son, from battlefield paintings to landscape paintings, still lifes, women's paintings, nude paintings..., all of which are painted by the artist with a very unique style and painting language.
Returning to his 5th solo exhibition in 17 years, artist Do Son hopes to bring the art-loving public "back" to the primitive emotions in the works that he has spent nearly his entire life attached to, from the nostalgia for the battlefield, nature, homeland, to the artist's inner thoughts.

Artist Do Son shared, "Recently, I still paint with free themes. painting is like a passion, like a hand training. Many domestic and foreign collectors buy my paintings. In this exhibition, I want to honor the beauty of life, of women, of the landscapes of the regions I have passed through.
Therefore, this solo exhibition will mainly focus on oil paint materials. These are works that he painted scattered over a long period of time, richly painted with drawings of the beauty of women.
For the artist himself, this is also an opportunity for him to look back on the artistic journey that has gone through his life, as a recognition, a beautiful note in the creative path that he has never stopped, even after turning 80.
