The exhibition includes 23 watercolor paintings on Do paper, mainly created in 2022, and a few in 2024.
The author has applied a unique technique, combined with a flexible brushwork, sometimes soft and supple, sometimes strong and decisive, creating watercolor paintings with an oil-based effect.
Sharing more about the exhibition’s message, the male artist said: “Gieo do is a way of sowing art, sowing the author’s spirit into a new material, do paper. The author is self-aware that this is just the beginning in a new field, in other words, the beginning of a new journey of art.”
Painter Phan Trong Van - the professional manager of Maii Artspace commented: "The series of watercolor paintings in this exhibition brings a unique and creative artistic experience. The use of dry painting techniques with missing and broken lines... not only creates interest in each painting but also reminds us of traditional calligraphy.
These strokes not only represent abstract letters and haiku poems, but also the uncontrollable outpouring of emotions from an artist who is both a contemporary poet and a painter, expressed through each stroke.
