During the September 2nd holiday, the atmosphere on many central streets of Hai Phong becomes busier as the number of tourists flocking to the city increases. Besides visiting famous destinations, experiencing local cuisine is becoming a priority choice for many people.
Mr. Hoang Van Nam, a tourist from Hanoi, said that after the first day of the holiday to explore Do Son beach, on the 2nd day, his family returned to the city center to explore the cuisine here.
Spicy bread, marinated coconut, grilled cakes... are dishes that everyone in my family especially loves. Hai Phong weather these days is also relatively pleasant, sunny days, cool evenings, suitable for walking and exploring cuisine" - Mr. Nam shared.

Recorded in the Cau Dat street area, one of the addresses associated with traditional baked cakes of Hai Phong, many shops are bustling with customers coming in and out. Baked cakes with fragrant golden crust and rich mixed filling are chosen by many tourists to enjoy immediately or buy as gifts.
Not only Cau Dat baked cake, spicy bread is also a dish sought after by many tourists.
Small, crispy grilled breads, stuffed with pate and eaten with "handmade" chili sauce of Hai Phong people create a unique flavor that is hard to find elsewhere.
At some long-standing spicy bread shops on Dinh Tien Hoang street, Hang Kenh street... during peak hours, the number of customers increases significantly.
Many people buy dozens of them to enjoy on the road or bring back as gifts for relatives.
The owner of a spicy bread shop in Hai Phong said that during the holidays, the number of customers from other provinces and cities coming to buy bread increased compared to normal days. Customers mainly go with families, groups of friends and often buy in large quantities.

Previously, on August 28, Hai Phong opened the Night Food Pedestrian Street in the area of the City Theater Square. The pedestrian street has nearly 30 food stalls, OCOP products meeting the city's standards such as fermented crab roe, crab noodle soup, banh cuon, traditional cha ruoi... to serve diners to experience right on the spot.
In particular, the digital culinary map integrated on the Smart Hai Phong application just launched on August 26 is a new step forward, supporting people and tourists to access the necessary utilities and information on their journey to explore the city.
The central strip and pedestrian street area are also equipped with free wifi, facilitating the use of digital utilities and experiencing nightlife.

The city orients itself to gradually build a Hai Phong culinary ecosystem in a modern, professional and digital direction; connecting business establishments, typical products, culinary locations and tourism experiences, helping people and tourists easily find, choose and experience.
