Dien Bien presents a unique 27 flavors feast

Dien Bien - February 8th, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province organized the culinary festival "27 Dien Bien culinary flavors".

The program has the participation and companionship of 20 restaurants, homestays and food service businesses in the province.

According to Mr. Tran Hai Ha - Acting Director of Dien Bien Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the festival is an opportunity to look back, cherish and spread the unique values of traditional cuisine, an important component that makes up the cultural identity of the ethnic groups of Dien Bien province.

Cuisine is a living cultural heritage, crystallized from history, nature and folk knowledge of ethnic communities. Each dish is a story, each flavor is a cultural slice" - Mr. Ha emphasized.

Under the advice of chef experts from the Vietnam Association for Vocational Training and Employment of Chefs, a feast of 27 typical dishes, symbolizing "27 flavors, 27 stories, 27 cultural features" of the province, was selected from 20 restaurants and homestays for display.

These 27 dishes not only retain the traditional identity, but are also expressed in a modern aesthetic language, suitable for the trend of domestic and international tourists' experiences. Because, cuisine is not only a heritage but also a resource for developing tourism, economy and local identity.

The traditional feast of Dien Bien people is not only for enjoying, but also a symbol of reunion, of hospitality and the desire for prosperity and peace.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Association for Vocational Training and Employment of Chefs provided professional support to restaurants, hotels, and food service businesses in the province.
