About a week ago, the brilliant butterfly flower garden in village 36, Na Sang commune, Dien Bien province is becoming a "hot" destination for nature lovers and photographers.
Nearly 60km from the center of Dien Bien Phu ward, according to records, tens of thousands of butterfly flower flowers of all colors from white, pink to purple are showing off their brightest colors, stretching across fields that used to only grow rice.

Talking to a reporter from Lao Dong newspaper, Mr. Cho A Dua (39 years old, flower garden owner) said that the idea of growing flowers came from recognizing the advantage of the landscape.
Before, my family only farmed. Seeing that this road has a very beautiful view, I discussed with my family to try switching to growing flowers so that people have a place to take photos and check-in" - Mr. Dua confided.
To have the brilliant flower carpet as it is now, Mr. Dua started tilling the soil and sowing seeds from the end of November 2025. He said that the cost of buying seeds was about 2.7 million VND, and all the weeding and care stages were done by family members themselves.

Although newly opened, the number of visitors flocking to the flower garden far exceeded the family's expectations.
Mr. Dua said that on average, the garden usually welcomes about 500 visitors per day. On weekends alone, this number reaches 1,000 visitors/day. Not only people in the province, but also many tourists from neighboring provinces stop to visit when passing through National Highway 12.
With a garden entrance fee of 20,000 VND/person, this model is bringing a significant income to Mr. Dua's family compared to purely agricultural cultivation.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung - a tourist from Dien Bien Phu ward said: "I was quite surprised to have such a large-scale and beautiful flower garden. The shooting angle is very diverse, the flowers bloom evenly and are dark in color, it's really worth the effort of traveling a long distance".
Currently, the garden owner is planning to make another flower crop to serve tourists before returning to rice cultivation when the rainy season comes.
However, Mr. Dua also expressed a little regret because according to the current flowering progress, the garden is likely to wither right on the occasion of Tet Nguyen Dan.
