Located in the Tinh Khe Flower Village tourist area, the Vietnam Antiquities Museum through the ages built by Mr. Bui Anh Tuan, in My Lai village, Tinh Khe commune, is a place to display about 5,000 antiques collected by him.
The museum is built in a campus of more than 6,000 m2, located at the end of the Diem Dien River, belonging to My Lai village, Tinh Khe commune. This place is about 500 m from My Khe beach in Quang Ngai and near Sa Ky port - the gateway to Ly Son island.
Mr. Tuan spent 4 years collecting thousands of antiques, building a museum in the tourist area to satisfy his passion, and at the same time attract history lovers and tourists to visit.
Hometown in Hai Duong, Mr. Tuan has been working in Quang Ngai for about 20 years. He goes to many places, especially Thanh Hoa, to search for artifacts and buy them from other collectors. He also regularly goes to China to compare documents and learn more about artifacts.
Mr. Bui Anh Tuan shared: "We started collecting artifacts from 2019. In 2023, we registered to open a museum in Quang Ngai city (old), then moved to Tinh Khe commune in early 2026. In the past 4 years, we have actively collected about 5,000 artifacts from all periods of Vietnamese culture, from prehistoric to late Nguyen Dynasty".
The museum's display space currently has 10 glass cabinets and 31 shelves. The artifacts are arranged in chronological order, from prehistoric times to recent centuries, and are also grouped by material and type.
The most are Phung Nguyen cultural ceramics, Dong Son bronze, Tran and Le dynasties artifacts and ceramic lines dating from the 11th to 17th centuries... Each group of artifacts helps viewers better visualize Vietnamese history and culture through each period.
Mr. Tran Van Cuong, residing in Truong Quang Trong ward, Quang Ngai, said that he often spends weekends taking his children to visit and introduce artifacts here. Through this, he wants his children to know about historical periods, designs, and models of artifacts, thereby understanding more deeply about the traditions left by previous generations.
