On April 24, in Huong Tra ward, Da Nang city, the "Huong Tra Pagoda Flowers - Da Nang 2026" festival officially opened, attracting a large number of people and tourists. In the late days of April, the yellow color of pagoda flowers covered Huong Tra eco-village with a pure, peaceful but attractive beauty.
Not as noisy as familiar destinations, Huong Tra attracts tourists with its green scenery, the poetic Tam Ky River and especially the complex of 9 ancient Dalbergia trees, also known as Giang Huong An, which are 100 to 150 years old. These Dalbergia trees have been recognized as Vietnamese Heritage Trees, becoming cultural, historical symbols and the pride of local people.

According to Mr. Tran Trung Hau - Chairman of Huong Tra Ward People's Committee, this year's festival is expected to create more motivation for local tourism development, and at the same time affirm the proactive and sustainable direction in exploiting existing potentials. From an ecological village recognized as a tourist destination in March 2025, Huong Tra is gradually forming a community-based tourism destination rich in Da Nang's identity.
The attraction of the festival is not only in the brilliant yellow Dalbergia tonkinensis flower season. During the 3 days of the event, from April 24 to 26, visitors can participate in many experiential activities such as admiring the panoramic view of the eco-village from hot air balloons, traditional ao dai performances, music exchanges, art sketches, exploration jogging, cycling under Dalbergia tonkinensis flower canopies and the ritual of "Throwing Wish Strings".

These activities are organized in a close direction, bringing visitors to blend into the natural space instead of just stopping at sightseeing and taking photos. Under the old rosewood tree, visitors can clearly feel the slow pace of life in the countryside, the friendliness of the people and the depth of culture preserved through many generations.
Ms. Le Thi Hien - a Hue tourist said - this is the first time she has come to the Sắc sưa Huong Tra Festival. What impressed her is the fresh space, the beauty of the sưa trees that are in full bloom and the way the locality organizes experiential activities that are both diverse and close.
2026 is also considered an important milestone for the festival when the event receives the attention and support of Da Nang city, creating a premise to elevate it to a city-level festival from 2027. This is a necessary step for Huong Tra not only to have a beautiful festival season, but also to build a unique and long-lasting tourism product.

From the color of Sua flowers, the Tam Ky River to the indigenous community life, Huong Tra is showing a different direction of tourism development: not trading nature for hot growth, but relying on preserving heritage, landscape and local identity to create sustainable value.
The "Sac Sua Huong Tra - Da Nang 2026" festival is therefore not only an annual cultural and tourist event. This is also an invitation for tourists to return to a greener, slower, and more emotional Da Nang - where each flower season can become a beautiful story about land and people.
