As of 7:00 AM on September 12, the center of the tropical depression is located at about 15.3 degrees North latitude - 111.0 degrees East longitude, about 150km southwest of the Hoang Sa special zone. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is strong at level 6, equivalent to 39-49km/h, gusting at level 8. The tropical depression is moving in the Northwest direction at a speed of about 10km/h.
Forecast for the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will continue to move in the Northwest direction at a speed of about 10km/h. By 7:00 AM on September 13th, the center of the tropical depression is likely to be at about 16.6 degrees North latitude - 109.2 degrees East longitude, over the sea area of Hue city - Da Nang city, about 110km east-northeast of Da Nang city. The intensity of the tropical depression is maintained at level 6, gusting at level 8.
Disaster risk level: level 3 is warned in the western Hoang Sa special zone and the sea area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai.
By 7:00 AM on September 14th, the tropical depression is forecast to move in a West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 10km/h. The center of the tropical depression is likely to be at about 17.5 degrees North latitude - 106.7 degrees East longitude, on the mainland coast from Ha Tinh to Quang Tri. The forecast intensity is still at level 6, gusting at level 8.
Disaster risk level: level 3 is warned in the sea area from Ha Tinh to Da Nang city.
From the next 48-72 hours, the tropical depression will continue to move in a West-Northwest direction, traveling about 10km per hour and gradually weakening into a low pressure area.
Due to the influence of the tropical depression, the sea area west of the Hoang Sa special zone and the sea area from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai have strong winds of level 6, gusts of level 8, waves 2-4m high, rough seas.
Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong winds and large waves.
