The storm moves quickly in a West direction at a speed of about 26 km/h. From July 16, when a high low pressure trough approaches the West Coast of the United States, causing the storm to slow down and gradually move to the Northwest. This direction is likely to continue in the following days.
It is forecast that the storm will reach its maximum intensity on July 17. By the end of the week, when moving into waters with lower temperatures, the storm will gradually weaken.

In addition, on July 15, day and night, the northern area of the Gulf of Tonkin, the sea area from Lam Dong to Ca Mau, from Ca Mau to An Giang, the Gulf of Thailand, the Northern East Sea area (including the Hoang Sa special zone) will have showers and thunderstorms. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind at level 7-8 and waves over 2.0m high.
On July 16, day and night, the sea area from Dak Lak to Ho Chi Minh City, the Central East Sea area has strong southwest winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusts of level 7-8, waves 1.5-3.0m high; rough seas. Level of disaster risk at sea: level 2.
