It is forecasted that by the afternoon of September 17, the low pressure will continue to move in the North-Northwest direction, about 15 km/h and is likely to strengthen into a storm.
When the tropical depression enters the East Sea and strengthens into a storm, it will be the 8th storm of the 2025 storm season.
The location is currently at about 18.4 degrees North latitude; 122.7 degrees East longitude in the sea northeast of Luzon Island. Intensity level 8, gust level 10.
It is forecasted that in the next 48 to 72 hours, the storm will move mainly in the West Northwest direction, traveling about 15km per hour, with little change in intensity.
Due to the influence of the tropical depression, the northeastern sea area of the North East Sea will have winds gradually increasing to level 6, gusting to level 8; the area near the storm center will have strong winds of level 7-8, gusting to level 10, waves 2.5-4.5m high. Strong seas.
