Typhoon Podul has been moving northwest at a speed of about 30 km/h for the past 6 hours after making landfall on Taiwan (China) for the first time at noon on August 13.
On August 14, the storm is forecast to make a second landfall in the coastal area of China, south of Xiamen City, then continue moving deep into southern China in the northwest direction. At this time, the storm is forecast to have the strongest winds near the center of about 120km/h, causing severe thunderstorms.
