Weather forecast for tomorrow, July 19, storm No. 3 Wipha enters the East Sea and causes first impacts.

According to the latest storm information from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the afternoon of July 18, the storm is active in the sea northeast of Luzon Island (Philippines), with the center of the storm at about 18.3 degrees North latitude and 123.5 degrees East longitude.

The storm intensity reached level 8-9 (62-88km/h), gusting to level 11. The storm is moving northwest at a speed of about 30km/h.

It is forecasted that in the next 24 to 72 hours, the storm will continue to move in the West Northwest direction. At 1:00 p.m. on July 19, the center of the storm is expected to be in the northeastern sea area of the North East Sea (20.1 degrees North latitude - 119.0 degrees East longitude), reaching level 10, gusting to level 12.

The dangerous area at that time was between 17.5 to 22.5 degrees North latitude and east of 116.5 degrees East longitude; level 3 natural disaster risk.

At 1:00 p.m. on July 20, the storm will continue to move in the West Northwest direction at a speed of about 20km/h and is likely to strengthen. The center of the storm was at about 21.4 degrees North latitude - 114.7 degrees East longitude, about 490km east of the Lusian Peninsula (China).

The storm intensity reached level 11-12, gusting to level 14. The danger zone will expand to the North of the latitude of 18.5 degrees North latitude and to the East of the longitude of 112.0 degrees East longitude; the natural disaster risk level will continue to remain at level 3.

At 1:00 p.m. on July 21, the storm changed direction to the West, at a speed of 20-25km/h. The center of the storm is located in the sea west of the Loi Chau peninsula (21.2 degrees North latitude - 109.5 degrees East longitude), with an intensity of level 11, gusting to level 13.

The danger zone is expanding from the north of the latitude of 18.5 degrees North and from 107.0 to 116.5 degrees East longitude. The affected area is still the northern sea area of the North East Sea and the Gulf of Tonkin with level 3 natural disaster risk.

It is forecasted that in the next 72 to 120 hours, the storm will continue to move mainly in the West direction, traveling 10-15km per hour and tending to weaken gradually.

At sea, the eastern sea area of the North East Sea will have winds gradually increasing to level 6-7, near the storm center level 8-10, gusting to level 12. Waves are 3.0 to 5.0m high, very rough seas. This area will be dangerous for ships due to thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong winds and large waves.
