The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has updated the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow (June 24) in regions across the country.
On June 24 and 25, hot weather continued to occur widely in many areas across the country.
The Northern mountainous region (except Lai Chau and Dien Bien) will experience hot sun, with intense heat in some places with the highest temperature commonly from 35-37 degrees C, some places exceeding 37 degrees C. The relative lowest humidity is commonly from 55-60%.
In the midland and delta areas of the Northern region and the east of provinces from Gia Lai to Dak Lak, the heat is intense, especially intense in some places. The highest temperature is commonly from 37-39 degrees C, in some places above 39 degrees C; the relative lowest humidity ranges from 50-55%.
Notably, the area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang City and the East of Quang Ngai province recorded intense to extremely intense heat, with the highest temperature commonly from 38-40 degrees C, in some places exceeding 40 degrees C. The relative lowest humidity is commonly from 45-50%.
Forecast for two days, June 24 and 25, the hot weather will last from 9-19 hours depending on the region. The meteorological agency warns that from June 26, hot weather in the North is likely to gradually subside. However, hot weather in the area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang City and the east of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak is still likely to last for many days to come.
Due to the impact of hot and intense heat combined with low air humidity, the risk of fires and explosions in residential areas and forest fires increases due to increased electricity demand.
