According to the latest weather forecast from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from April 3rd, cold air will compress and push the low pressure trough with its axis at about 24-27 degrees North latitude to gradually move southward.
From the evening of April 3rd to the early morning of April 4th, the Northern region (except Dien Bien, Lai Chau) will have scattered showers and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 10-20mm, locally heavy rain over 40mm.
People and tourists need to be wary of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms, accompanied by the risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.
Previously, a series of provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, and Son La recorded phenomenons of hailstorms causing damage to people and property during the seasonal transition from spring to summer.
Therefore, people and tourists need to proactively monitor the next bad weather warnings to respond in time.
