According to updates from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, Hanoi's weather in the coming days will quickly shift from a state of rain and chilliness to hot sunshine, marking a clear seasonal transition.
Weather forecast for March 28, due to the influence of weak cold air, Hanoi and the Northern region maintain a cloudy pattern, with scattered showers, light fog in the early morning, temperature fluctuating around 23-28 degrees C.
On March 29, the weather will still have localized showers, the temperature will slightly increase to about 24-29 degrees Celsius.
From March 30, Hanoi's weather will change significantly as rain decreases rapidly, sunshine returns and temperatures rise sharply. The highest temperature can reach about 35 degrees Celsius, opening the first widespread heat wave in 2026 in the Northern region.
The peak of hot weather falls around March 31, when the temperature in Hanoi can reach 36 degrees Celsius, with little clouds and strong sunshine.
After that, from April 1st to April 3rd, hot weather tends to persist but intensity slightly decreases, the highest temperature is commonly around 32-34 degrees C, cloudy, no rain.
The general weather trend shows that after the period of rain and weakening cold air, Hanoi weather enters a hot cycle earlier than the multi-year average. This is also a typical characteristic of changing seasons, when the temperature increases rapidly but there may still be intermittent localized thunderstorms.
For tourism activities in Hanoi, the end of March is more favorable for outdoor sightseeing thanks to the low temperature and rain to help reduce heat.
However, from the beginning of April, tourists need to pay attention to increased heat, so they should adjust their schedules appropriately to avoid hot sunny times during the day.
