According to the meteorological agency, in the next 24 hours, the weather in many sea areas will continue to worsen. Areas including the Gulf of Tonkin, the Gulf of Thailand and the Northern East Sea (including the Hoang Sa special zone sea area) are forecast to have scattered showers and thunderstorms.
Notably, in thunderstorms, there is a high possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind at level 7-8, accompanied by sea waves over 2m high, causing rough seas and affecting activities at sea.
The meteorological agency recommends that tourists planning to swim, visit the island or take a boat out to sea should regularly update weather forecasts, and comply with the instructions of functional forces and transport units. Ship owners, fishermen and tourist boats also need to proactively monitor the developments of thunderstorms to have timely shelter plans and limit movement through areas with dangerous weather.
Sea weather forecast for the next 10 days:
According to forecasts, in the period from August 1 to 3, the Northern East Sea area, including the Hoang Sa special zone sea area, will have a common wave height of 1.5-2.5m.
From August 4-8, waves in many sea areas tend to increase sharply. Specifically:
- Southern Gulf of Tonkin: High waves from 1.5-2.5m.
- Sea area from Lam Dong to Ca Mau and Gulf of Thailand: Waves 2-3m high.
- Sea areas from South Quang Tri to Quang Ngai and Gia Lai to Khanh Hoa: Waves are 2-4m high.
- Southern East Sea, including the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa special zones: Waves 3-5m high.
- North and Central East Sea: Waves 4-6m high, strong rough seas.

- Southern Gulf of Tonkin: From August 7-10.
- Southern coastal areas of Quang Tri to Quang Ngai: From August 6-10.
- Gia Lai to Khanh Hoa sea area: August 1 and from August 4-10.
- Lam Dong to Ca Mau sea area and Gulf of Thailand: From August 6-10.
- Northern East Sea, including the Hoang Sa special zone sea area: August 1st and from August 4th to 10th.
- In the East Sea: From August 4-10.
- Southern East Sea, including the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa special zones: From August 4-10.
