According to storm news, the latest low pressure from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), a new low pressure has formed near the East Sea.
As of 2 pm today (local time), the center of the low pressure was located at about 11.4 degrees North latitude - 128.3 degrees East longitude, about 315 km east of Borongan, eastern Samar.
This low pressure area is forecast to have little chance of developing strongly into a tropical depression or storm in the next 24 hours.
In the East Sea, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the day and night of July 28, the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ho Chi Minh City and the west of the Central East Sea area will have strong southwest winds at level 6, gusts at level 7-8, waves 2-3 m high, rough seas.
To the west of the Southern East Sea area, including the sea area west of the Truong Sa special zone, there is Southwest wind level 5, sometimes level 6, gusts level 7-8, waves 2-3 m high, rough seas.
In addition, the Gulf of Tonkin, the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to An Giang, the Gulf of Thailand, the sea area east of the Northern East Sea, the Central and Southern East Sea (including the Truong Sa special zone sea area) will have showers and thunderstorms. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind at level 7-8, sea waves over 2 m high.
Forecast for the day and night of July 29, the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ho Chi Minh City will continue to have strong southwest winds at level 6, gusts at level 7-8, sea waves 2-3 m high, rough seas. Disaster risk level due to strong winds at sea is level 2.
