It is forecasted that in the late afternoon and tonight, the common rainfall in the Northwest region and the northern mountainous region will fluctuate from 10 - 30mm, and in some places there may be localized heavy rain exceeding 70mm.
In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Disaster risk level is warned at level 1.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warns that heavy rain in a short time may cause flooding in low-lying areas and increase the risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams and landslides in hilly areas.
People in affected areas need to closely monitor weather developments, limit moving through landslide-prone areas during heavy rain. When thunderstorms and lightning appear, they need to quickly find safe shelter, avoid standing near large trees or open areas.
