Currently, traveling from HCMC to Con Dao has 2 options: by high-speed train on the Vung Tau - Con Dao route and by air from Tan Son Nhat airport to Con Dao.
For the Vung Tau - Con Dao high-speed train route, there are 2 types of regular seats and VIP seats for tourists to choose from. From April 15, the VIP ticket price is only 950,000 VND/trip; the regular ticket price is at 560,000-69,000 VND/trip for adults, partially reduced for children, the elderly and people with disabilities.
Or tourists can also choose to travel from Tran De (Can Tho), with a distance of more than 2 hours to Con Dao, with a VIP ticket price of 608,000 VND; the regular ticket price is at 408,000-468,000 VND for adults.
After arriving in Con Dao, tourists can rent a motorbike to easily move around for about 150,000 VND/day. The central area of Con Dao has many accommodation establishments with prices from 500,000 VND or more to serve tourists. Thus, if traveling by high-speed train from Vung Tau, an average trip of 3 days and 2 nights to Con Dao will cost from 2.8 million VND or more.
And if flying from Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao, the cost for a 3-day 2-night trip will be about 5.6 million VND or more. Including round-trip air tickets from Ho Chi Minh City with 7kg of hand-carried luggage and 23kg of checked-in baggage; pick-up and drop-off at the airport; accommodation for 2 nights in the central area of Con Dao.
In addition to the center of Con Dao attracting tourists with cultural and historical relics, beautiful pristine beaches with clear water; the special zone also has dozens of different islands, creating many tours and routes for tourists to experience and explore.
Con Dao also has many restaurants, eateries, and floating restaurants serving fresh seafood dishes to tourists at stable prices. For more convenience, tourists can learn in advance, or hire local tour guides to guide them to locations with costs depending on the agreement.
