Grinding village

Nearly 150km from the center of Ha Giang City, the village of Gams of Dong Van old town complex is home to more than 30 households of Mong and Tay people.

Nestled at the foot of the rocky mountains, the village grinds up with ancient and peaceful houses. The houses here are hundreds of years old, indeed depicting the lives of ethnic minorities.

The house is built of laterite or rocky stone, with tubular design. Each house also has symbols and decorative motifs with cultural meaning, showing the customs and beliefs of the Mong and Tay people.

The walls, stairs, wooden railing are discolored, the roof of yin and yang tiles adds ancient and peaceful beauty. Behind the small village is a shutter mountain, majestic and poetic scenery.

With ancient beauty, the village gnaws each year to attract tens of thousands of tourists from all over the country. This is a stop that makes visitors excited when coming to Dong Van rock plateau.

Lo Lo Chai

Also keeping the pristine beauty, Lo Lo Chai village is right at the foot of the Dragon Mountain, only 1km from Lung Cu flagpole. This is the place to live of the Mong people and Lo people for decades.

The highlight of Lo Lo Chai village is the wall houses with typical architecture of the rocky plateau.

Each house here is built manually from clay, tightening into thick walls, yin -yang tile roofs are located close together. The warm golden brown color of the earth wall blended with the green of the mountains creates a peaceful and ancient scenery.

At Lo Lo Chai, many famous traditional occupations such as carpentry and embroidery are still being kept.

Lung Cam village

1 hour away from Lo Lo Chai, Lung Cam village in Sung is (Dong Van) is the main living place for ethnic minorities of H'Mong, Lo Lo and Hoa.

The highlight of this is the peace and rustic of indigenous people. In particular, the wall houses dating back to less than 100 years contributing to the ancient.

All are manually built with available materials such as soil to present the walls, tiles, wood and stone fences. The roof is covered with yin and yang tiles, the wall is presented by earth. The tile color mixed in the gray color of the rocky mountain creates a striking picture in the middle of the rocky plateau.

Over time, the roofs are covered with green moss, creating an ancient look for the village. Around the village is surrounded by a rocky mountain range like a protective wall.

This is also a highlight that attracts a large number of tourists when coming to Dong Van rock plateau.

Amidst a spectacular plateau scene, the rhythm of Lung Cam village slowed down, creating peace. With this beauty, VHDL Lung Cam village has become the main context in the movie "Pao's Story" adapted from the work "The sound of the lips behind the stone fence".
