Located at an altitude of over 1,500m above sea level, Mau Son possesses an extremely temperate climate for hydrangeas to grow.
Large clusters of flowers with all shades from turquoise, light pink to purple bloom, creating a romantic scene.
However, Mau Son's "specialty" is not only flowers but also fog. The temperature difference makes this place often covered by thick layers of fog.
Many tourists carry an excited mentality, taking the trouble to wake up early in the morning to go up the mountain to hunt clouds and see flowers, but in reality they have to face a view of only a few meters away.

In those conditions, capturing brilliant flower beds becomes a difficult problem even for professional photographers.
To avoid the situation of "dream breaking" when hunting for flowers, practical experiences from people who have just experienced them are extremely valuable.
According to Mr. Vy Hoang Dat, this year hydrangeas on the top of Mau Son are quite beautiful, especially around the end of May. But to have beautiful photos, it depends quite a lot on the weather during the day.
Mr. Dat shared: "To conquer Mau Son peak in hydrangea season, you should absolutely not go early in the morning if the weather forecast for that day is foggy, gloomy or light rain. The temperature difference in the early morning will make the fog very thick, completely obscuring visibility.

Plan to get to the top of the mountain around after 12 noon. At this time, the sun rises high, and rising temperatures will help the fog dissipate. The clear scenery not only helps you fully admire the beauty of the flowers but also helps the camera lens capture the most realistic and brilliant colors.
Also according to the owner of the TikTok channel "Đạt Thích Đu Đưa", if health conditions and driving skills allow, motorbikes are the most recommended means of transport.
The pass road to Mau Son is about 15km long with countless winding curves, but in return, the scenery on both sides of the road is extremely spectacular.
Moving by motorbike gives you proactiveness, you can stop at any time to take photos or breathe fresh air without being limited in visibility like when sitting in a car.
Regarding outfits, Dat advises young people to choose clothes with warm and prominent tones such as red, yellow, orange or bright white. These colors will create excellent contrast with the green background of trees and the silvery color of fog.
Especially, the humidity on Mau Son is very high. Remember to bring a specialized glass cleaning cloth to regularly wipe the phone or camera lens, avoiding photos becoming blurry due to water vapor accumulating," Dat added.
