Two years ago, Duong Phuong Thao (Nghe An) first set foot in the ancient capital of Hue to visit ancient architectural works, watch the peaceful flow of the Huong River, and visit pagodas. During her time in the Hue dreamy land, Thao stopped by the tomb of King Khai Dinh, An Dinh Palace, Hue National School, Thien Mu Pagoda, and Hue Railway Station.
Although her time in Hue was short, it left her with many good memories of this romantic and poetic city. She was not only impressed by the beautiful scenery but also learned more about the culture and historical values of this Central region.
Leaving Hue, in her mind, she always wished that one day she would arrange a time to return to her beloved Hue, visit many destinations, and discover more of the beauty of the ancient capital.
Thao shared: "One reason I came to Hue for the second time was to set foot in the places I had been to to feel that beauty again with a different mindset, a fresher soul than before."
Returning to Hue this time, she spent time revisiting the destinations she visited the first time. Taking advantage of the time, Thao went to Hue Imperial City. Stepping into the Royal Palace, the female tourist was able to admire the large and small constructions inside the Imperial City. Under the shade of the green trees, Thao learned about the history and culture of the Nguyen Dynasty, both discovering the beauty of the old-time opulent structures and capturing moments with her companion.
Thao and her friend visited the tomb of King Minh Mang. Tourists were immersed in a large space with large and small structures and many rows of green trees, capturing memorable moments, photo angles, and check-ins.
She also set foot on the banks of the Huong River, strolling along the tree-lined street. They stopped by the famous ironwood bridge, admiring the beauty of Phu Van Lau, going to Dong Ba market to shop and enjoy delicious food.
Another equally interesting destination in Hue that Thao has also visited is Thuy Tien Lake Park. The park is famous for its “ghostly” and “creepy” atmosphere, which has appeared in foreign newspapers and attracted many tourists to explore. Thao and her friend came here to experience and take photos as memories of this trip.
According to Thao, a trip to Hue without taking a food tour would be a waste. The female tourist spent part of her trip enjoying the famous dishes of the ancient capital such as Hue beef noodle soup, mussel noodles, and mussel rice.
This time returning to Hue, Thao felt both familiar and new. Walking around the streets, visiting the sights of her first visit, her mind flashed with beautiful memories. This time, she had new experiences, new thoughts about her beloved Hue.
“I feel happy and excited when I am in Hue because I get to explore new places. From the roads along the Perfume River to the small and pretty cafes, it helps me have a quiet time, relaxing my soul. In addition to the beautiful, ancient landscape, Hue also has delicious dishes, the hospitality of the local people... The peaceful space and pace of life in Hue make me feel like I am returning to my beloved home,” Thao expressed.
