Lunar New Year 2026 is approaching, "three or six streets" of Hanoi have been bustling with many events as well as decorating spaces to welcome Tet, welcoming domestic and foreign tourists.

22 Hang Buom Cultural and Art Center

As part of the Vietnamese Tet - Street Tet 2026 series of activities, coming to 22 Hang Buom street, visitors have the opportunity to step into the space to recreate traditional Tet and the Spring Fair.

Specialty stalls of the three regions of Vietnam, handicrafts, art stalls... are sold right in the space of the Guangdong Assembly Hall. Not only is it a Spring Fair, a shopping place but also a place to tell stories about each product, agricultural product, specialty as well as pure Vietnamese Tet customs. The event lasts until March 17. Ticket price: 20,000 VND/person.

Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center

Not only is it a destination attracting international and domestic tourists who check-in every time they come to the Old Quarter to learn about Hanoi's history, the center is also a cultural rendezvous this Tet holiday with the art exhibition Welcoming Spring Binh Ngo 2026. Coming to 50 Dao Duy Street From now until March 1st, visitors can immerse themselves in the brilliant colors of Tet and Spring of nearly 100 different paintings. The exhibition is open for free.

Kim Ngan communal house

On February 8th, at Kim Ngan communal house at 42-44 Hang Bac street, visitors will live in the Tet holiday space of the people of the ancestral land of Phu Tho with Xoan singing melodies, watch the procession and traditional Neu tree erecting ceremony. Xoan singing at the communal house gate is an activity combining singing - dancing - music - rituals, intersecting people and spirits, the past and the present. Each Xoan song is like carrying wishes and prayers, expressing the desire for a peaceful and prosperous new year. Tourists visiting Kim Ngan communal house buy tickets for 20,000 VND/person.

Ma May ancient house

The house at 87 Ma May street is one of 14 ancient houses in Hanoi built in the late 19th century. After many changes of ownership, this classic 3-compartment house of 157m2 has been recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Heritage Site.

These days, after a period of restoration, the house welcomes guests back to the traditional living space of old Hanoi people. Visitors strolling into each space will feel every corner of life that is both rustic and sophisticated such as the kitchen, tea table, Tet feast to the stories of the ancient town... Ma May ancient house opens daily. Ticket price: 20,000 VND/person.

Aterlier51.hanoi

As part of a century-old ancient house right on Dinh Tien Hoang street, facing Hoan Kiem Lake with bustling activities, Aterlier51.hanoi is a cultural space faintly imbued with the colors of old Hanoi.

This small, pretty room is a place to organize activities such as enjoying tea, watching watercolor paintings of the ancient town by artist Dinh Quang Hai (Hai Tre), workshops such as origami paper folding, making Hang Trong paintings...

Painting display space is open daily, workshops need to register in advance and pay a fee. Address: 2nd Floor, No. 51, Dinh Tien Hoang Street.
