American chef Leslie 'Sang liem' wears ao dai, eats a plate of Saigon

Known by Vietnamese fans as the "Sang Liem" of American Chief Chef MasterChef, Leslie Gilliams had 3 days of interaction with fans in Ho Chi Minh City.

Leslie Gilliams (67 years old) was a contestant on MasterChef USA season 5, he stood out with the image of a difficult, old and self-conscious uncle.

In addition, during the US MasterChef competition, Leslie's performance received many mixed opinions that caused controversy in the online community. However, he always faced criticism honestly and gradually shined.

MasterChef fans in Vietnam nicknamed him "The Liems" (spelling for honest characters in reality TV shows and movies) or also called him "The Linh Linh", "Liem Leslie" or Silver Fox ( silvery-headed porridge).

Leslie and his wife landed at Tan Son Nhat airport on July 16, they traveled about 2 days to explore Ho Chi Minh City. From July 18 to July 20, he participated in a fan exchange event in a series of different activities.

Coming to Vietnam as well as Ho Chi Minh City, chef Leslie did not miss street food experiences such as drinking coffee, eating broken rice, and pho. They had Vietnamese and international food enjoyments at a luxurious fusion-style restaurant in the city center.

Leslie and his wife also wore Vietnamese ao dai, visited the Ho Chi Minh City Central Post Office, checked into Ben Thanh market, Tan Dinh church, Koi fish cafe...
