Located in Dong Ninh Hoa ward, Khanh Hoa province, My Giang Islet is a relatively new destination for many travel enthusiasts. Thanks to the natural geological formation process, the end of the rock creates continuous stacked rocky rows, which many tourists compare to "dinosaur backs" in the sea and sky of Khanh Hoa. The tourist area is about 1km wide, the terrain combines flat sandy beaches and slopes over 50m high. The mountain slopes connect each other to form arcs facing straight to the sea, bringing a rare majestic scene. Photo: Luong Phong

To admire the "dinosaur back" shape most clearly on My Giang Reef, visitors should climb to peak number 3. Meanwhile, peak number 1 and number 2 are ideal locations to admire the scenery, take photos and take a panoramic view of Van Phong Bay. Photo: Luong Phong

From above, visitors can see Hon Do, Hon Theo, Ganh Phong, Van Phong oil storage area,... along with the blue sea stretching to the horizon. The contrast between pristine nature and distant structures creates a scene that many people compare to a movie frame. Photo: Luong Phong

The best time to visit My Giang is from May to August. This is when the Central region enters the sunny season, with clear blue sea, little rain and lush green trees. In particular, the time frame from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM is considered the most ideal time to hunt for sunset. The late afternoon sunlight covers the rocky rows and sea surface, creating an impressive scene. Photo: Luong Phong

Mr. Luong Phong, a resident of Khanh Hoa, commented that this place has a beauty that is both pristine and very cinematic. According to him, strong sea breezes, sunshine sweeping across the rocky mountains make the scenery unforgettable. The journey to the top only takes about 5-10 minutes, although it is a bit steep but not too difficult. He also reminded those who stay to watch the sunset to bring flashlights for convenient movement when it is dark. Photo: Luong Phong

On weekends, the foothill area is quite bustling with groups of tourists camping, picnicking and organizing outdoor parties. Some people choose to go to coastal rocky outcrops to fish and squid, while many other tourists climb to high peaks to admire the panoramic view of Van Phong Bay. Photo: Luong Phong

To get to My Giang Island, the most convenient means of transport is motorbikes because there are currently no bus or passenger car routes passing through this area. Tourists only need to search for "My Giang Island" on the map, move to Van Phong gas station and then continue along the coastal road for about 500m to reach the end point of My Giang Island. When going through the sandy land and encountering stone fences, tourists park and lock the motorbike's handlebars and continue walking to the top of the mountain. Photo: Luong Phong

The terrain at My Giang Island has many sharp rocks, gravel and steep sections. Moving by motorbike needs to be careful, especially on rainy days. The highest peak area is not too difficult to climb up, but the downhill road is quite steep, not suitable for people who are afraid of heights or have health problems. Photo: Luong Phong
