Floating markets have long become a typical economic and cultural activity of the Southern region.
During the filming of the movie Ut Lan 2 in U Minh Thuong (An Giang), actor Phuong Nam had the opportunity to directly experience this unique trading space, bringing realistic perspectives on the daily life of local people.
Unlike the commercial space on land, U Minh Thuong floating market impresses strongly with the vibrancy of dozens of boats full of garden fruits. According to Phuong Nam, this is the setting that made him feel most overwhelmed throughout the filming process thanks to the diversity and freshness of local agricultural products.
The actor shared with reporters: "U Minh Thuong floating market is the film's setting that makes me feel both overwhelmed and most excited because it is surrounded by fresh fruits, it feels like people are just picking from trees and bringing them straight to the market.

Taking advantage of the time the technical team prepared machinery, Phuong Nam rowed her own boat through boat stalls to learn about local products.
He visited many mobile booths selling all kinds of Southern fruits such as coconut, pineapple, dragon fruit, guava, mango, rambutan to directly enjoy the fresh flavor right on the water surface.
Besides the richness of products, the beauty of floating market culture is also clearly shown through the liberal and hospitable lifestyle of riverine small traders. To prepare for the role as well as penetrate the reality of local life, Phuong Nam said that he spent two months learning the Mekong Delta language before the film crew officially started filming.
Careful preparation in terms of language has helped the male actor quickly overcome local barriers, easily communicate and integrate into the daily life of the people as soon as he docks on the boat.
He commented that the people here are very friendly, enthusiastic and open to people from other places.
Thinking back, I realize that the floating market culture of the Mekong Delta is truly top-notch, everyone who has the opportunity to travel here should definitely experience it once," actress Phuong Nam expressed.
Not only stopping at the role of a filming location, the natural scenery and people of U Minh Thuong also left a deep impression on the male actor in terms of both visuals and cultural depth.
Phuong Nam highly appreciates the pristine beauty of this place and expects the visual effects from the project to contribute to spreading the local attraction to a large audience.

The scenery here is truly cinematic. I hope that after the impressive footage in Ut Lan 2, the audience will visit U Minh Thuong more to experience the beautiful scenery and unique culture here themselves," Phuong Nam added.
The movie Ut Lan 2 is expected to officially be released in theaters at the end of September, promising not only to bring an attractive story but also to open up opportunities to promote the U Minh Thuong river landscape closer to tourists nationwide.
