The old Tet festival is taking place at Nha Trang Xua Craft Village (Nam Nha Trang ward, Khanh Hoa province). This is the first time in Nha Trang that a festival opens up a space to recreate Vietnamese traditional Tet on a scale of nearly 3ha, lasting 45 days, from now until after the Lunar New Year.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh - Managing Director of Nha Trang Xua Craft Village, this year's festival is of special significance when it is held only two months after the historic flood that caused many damage to the craft village.
With the spirit of solidarity and determination, the collective unit quickly overcame difficulties and revived the traditional cultural and tourist space.
The festival is not just a Tet celebration event, but is oriented to become an annual cultural - tourism - culinary event, contributing to preserving and spreading the values of Vietnamese Tet in modern life," Ms. Ngoc Anh emphasized.

With the theme "Preserving Vietnamese Tet - Creating the Future", the festival vividly recreates the space of ancient Vietnamese villages, combining traditional rituals, folk spring festivals, handicraft villages and pure Vietnamese Tet cuisine, imbued with the breath of the Central region.
The festival is organized with 4 key contents. The ceremony part recreates traditional customs such as erecting the Neu tree, wrapping banh chung and banh tet, worshiping the Kitchen Gods, worshiping the year-end ceremony, and worshiping the craft ancestors.
The festival part takes place continuously from morning to evening every day with community activities such as lion - lion - dragon performances, folk games, boat racing, ao dai performances, ancient countryside lotto, craft village experience workshop and outdoor real-scene show "Fairy Light".

The market gathers more than 50 booths, displaying Tet flowers, cakes and jams, local products, traditional handicrafts, creating a bustling shopping atmosphere. The Tet culinary space is highlighted with "Que Xua" Buffet, folk cake stalls, Tet cooking classes, introducing traditional dishes from the three regions.
This space will become a unique cultural destination of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa, contributing to stimulating tourism demand, while preserving Vietnamese Tet as a "living heritage" in contemporary life.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Thang - Standing Vice Chairman of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association highly appreciated the efforts of the collective of workers of Nha Trang Ancient Craft Village when they quickly overcame the consequences of natural disasters, creating a lively, warm Tet space full of spring colors.
According to Mr. Thang, the formation of a new cultural tourism product such as the Old Tet Festival not only contributes to enriching the local tourism ecosystem. From here, an approach to traditional cultural experience tourism is opened up, suitable to the trends of domestic and foreign tourists.
In 2026, Khanh Hoa province aims to welcome 18.1 million tourists, including about 6.5 million international visitors.
