On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2026), the City People's Committee has just issued a plan to organize activities to celebrate major holidays in April, May and the Red Flamboyant Flower Festival 2026.
In which, the central flower garden area decorated by Hong Bang Ward People's Committee and the City Theater area became a rendezvous attracting a large number of people and tourists to visit and check-in before the Red Flamboyant Flower Festival - Hai Phong 2026.





Elaborately decorated miniatures such as: flower bicycles, artistic flower shops and models imbued with the imprint of the Port city have created a space filled with colorful flowers, bustling and vibrant in the heart of the city.
Many local people were present early to immerse themselves in the festival atmosphere. Ms. Pham Thi Minh Thuy and Ms. Pham Thi Hoa, currently working at the Coast Guard Region 1 Command and the Navy Guesthouse in Hai Phong city, together strolled around the city center to capture beautiful moments amidst the brilliant flower space.

As a child of Dat Cang, when witnessing the city increasingly developing, changing and reaching further, I feel very happy and proud. Such special occasions always make me want to participate and immerse myself in the vibrant atmosphere, so that I can feel more clearly the daily transformation of the city," Ms. Thuy shared.
The Red Flamboyant Flower Festival is not only an opportunity to enjoy art performances but also a place to connect people in a joyful and warm atmosphere.
Before tonight's special program took place, the two girls spent the whole afternoon strolling around the city center to visit and take souvenir photos. According to Ms. Hoa, this year Quan Hoa area is a special highlight of the festival.
“We spent the whole afternoon walking around the city center and took many beautiful photos. The Quan Hoa area with elaborate and brilliant decoration, imbued with the unique culture of the Port city,” Ms. Hoa shared.







Responding to the Red Flamboyant Flower Festival 2026 in Hai Phong city, a series of unique cultural and artistic activities will take place in the central strip of the city from May 7 to 13, serving people and tourists.
Accordingly, on May 7, the opening ceremony will take place along with parades and art performances by international art troupes. On May 8, the central strip area will arrange LED screens to serve people to watch live the opening ceremony of the Red Flamboyant Flower Festival 2026.
Continuing the series of events, on May 9 at 5:30 PM, a parade program with the theme "Hai Phong - Quintessence of Heritage Region" and the 4th Hai Phong Open Puppetry Festival will take place at 6:30 PM. May 10 is a performance program of Hai Phong Zumba clubs.
In addition, many community art activities are also organized throughout such as the music night "Mam non Dat Cang" on May 11, street music program on May 12 and art program "Rhythm of City Life" taking place on May 13. The series of activities contributes to creating a vibrant and brilliant atmosphere for the Port city in this year's festival season.
