Activities to celebrate major holidays in April and May and respond to the Red Flamboyant Flower Festival - Hai Phong 2026 take place from the end of March to the end of May 2026, focusing on a peak period of 7 days, from May 8th to 14th.
The highlight in this phase is the opening program of the Red Flamboyant Flower Festival - Hai Phong 2026, celebrating the 71st anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2026) with the theme "Hai Phong - Convergence - Shine" taking place from 8 pm on May 8. The program is held at the square of the Political - Administrative Center (Bac Song Cam Urban Area, Thuy Nguyen ward). Within the framework of the program, the city will organize fireworks displays from 9:20 pm - 9:32 pm.
The opening program will be broadcast live on VTV channel of Vietnam Television; Hai Phong Newspaper and Radio, Television will re-broadcast on some channels of other provinces and cities. The city will arrange sound, lighting and 02 LED screens to broadcast live the night program serving the people on Do Muoi street.
On this occasion, the city organized the commencement of 12 projects and projects and the inauguration of 3 key projects and projects. Departments, branches, localities, units, and businesses organized 64 cultural, artistic, and sports activities in response.
