On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1990 - May 19, 2025) and in response to the International Museum Day (May 18), museums in Ho Chi Minh City will open for free and organize many meaningful activities to serve people and tourists.

At Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City branch, visitors will enjoy the seminar "The South always remembers to be grateful to People", along with a mobile exhibition with the theme "Proud of the city named after People - Ho Chi Minh City" at the University of Foreign Languages - Informatics.
Ton Duc Thang Museum will introduce the theme "Ba Son - Time Street" opening at Ba Son Corporation on May 18 and coordinate with An Giang Provincial Museum to carry out the theme "Uncle Ton - Journey from 1945 to 1975".
In addition, the short film competition "Ton Duc Thang Museum - New Appearance" was also launched among young people to tell stories about Uncle Ton and his experiences at the museum.
The Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Museum, the Fine Arts Museum and private collectors will conduct a thematic exhibition "National Treasures - Heritage masterpieces in Ho Chi Minh City"; and organize a photo exhibition "Chairman Ho Chi Minh - Revolutionary life and career" from May 19 to June 9.
At Ho Chi Minh City Museum, people and visitors can visit the thematic "Journey to follow Uncle Ho's footsteps through collecting stamps and posters", along with ongoing exhibitions such as " map of the resistance war", "Journey of Huynh Phuong Dong" and mobile exhibitions with the theme "Hoang Sa, Truong Sa - Vietnam's sea and islands", "National architectural and artistic relics" at schools in the area.
The War Document Museum will organize a discussion on display standards, while the Southern Women's Museum will introduce the topic "Journey 40 - Story from artifacts".
The Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum also brings a unique art space with the exhibition "Khe chuyen don don don don don" organized by the Liberation Art Center, including many activities with cultural - historical depth and educational value.
