From the garden to the East Sea
Mr. Duong Hoang Sum - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Long - said that the September 2 holiday is an important occasion for the industry to focus resources and provide the best services to tourists.
"The tourism industry has prepared new products and upgraded facilities to meet the needs of domestic and international visitors. The inauguration of Rach Mieu 2 Bridge also contributes to solving traffic congestion during the holiday, Mr. Sum informed.
According to him, many entertainment areas, restaurants, and hotels have launched incentives to create a vibrant festive atmosphere. At Lan Vuong Tourist Area (in the old Ben Tre), visitors are exempted from some time limits, participate in pouring banh co, baking rice paper, playing folk games and experiencing OCOP products.

Ben Thanh - Vinh Sang tourist destination (Vinh Long) deploys a combo of free games, free ships, sightseeing tickets, enjoying riverside cuisine, reducing the group price from 10 guests to 250,000 VND/person.
At Con Chim, visitors can row a three-leaf boat, set up a boat, race crab and enjoy rustic dishes. Ba Dong and Thanh Phu beaches serve resorts, beaches, and enjoy fresh seafood.
"We want visitors to relax and experience local culture and cuisine. After the merger, Vinh Long is more attractive when connecting products from river gardens to the East Sea, bringing a rich experience, Mr. Sum shared.
Towards a leading resort destination in the Mekong Delta
Mr. Sum also said that Vinh Long currently has 67 travel businesses (17 international, 50 domestic), 359 accommodation facilities (121 hotels, 159 motels, 70 homestays, along with ships and resort villas).
The whole province has 24 typical tourist destinations in the Mekong Delta, 13 provincial-level destinations and 43 standard service establishments, serving the needs of sightseeing and experience well.
In the first 7 months of 2025, the province welcomed more than 5.8 million visitors, including more than 5 million domestic visitors and more than 734 thousand international visitors. Total revenue reached more than 4,700 billion VND. After the merger, Vinh Long tourism has changed significantly, strongly developing sea, river, garden, cultural tourism, opening a new direction.

The provincial tourism industry focuses on communication and promotion, especially the international segment from Europe and North America. We develop community tourism, ecology, craft villages associated with indigenous culture and agricultural products. The province also plans to welcome international cruise ships and organize famtrip to introduce typical products, said Mr. Sum.
Thanks to the synchronous preparation from accommodation facilities to tourist attractions, Vinh Long is ready to welcome guests during the September 2 holiday. Visitors will have a complete experience from the river garden to the East Sea, while feeling the image of a friendly, attractive and hospitable Vinh Long.
