From May 21, 2026, the Ministry of Public Security officially put into operation a new temporary residence declaration software system, integrating the declaration of residence of Vietnamese citizens and foreigners on the same electronic platform. Instead of implementing it on many different systems as before, accommodation establishments only need to operate on a unified software.
In the early days of implementation, many hotels, resorts and accommodation businesses were still confused with the new process. To make the conversion smooth, the Immigration Management Department - Lam Dong Provincial Police established working groups to directly go to each establishment to guide the use.
At the same time, record difficulties arising during use to promptly remove them, helping facilities quickly master the software without affecting customer reception activities.
According to Major Pham Dang Phuoc, officer of the Immigration Management Department - Lam Dong Provincial Police, the new software helps accommodation establishments significantly reduce administrative operations, shorten procedure time for guests, and at the same time help the police force manage accommodation data synchronously and accurately in real time.
At Roman Phu Quy Resort, the application of the new system helps the accommodation declaration process take place quickly. After a journey of about 2.5 hours by high-speed boat to the island, many tourists complete room booking procedures in a short time, limiting waiting as before.
Mr. Ngo Minh Pho - owner of Roman Phu Quy resort said that thanks to the use of online accommodation declaration software, receptionists operate faster, saving time for tourists with quick procedures.
The digitization of accommodation declaration not only contributes to modernizing state management activities but also creates a civilized and safe tourism environment. When procedures are quickly carried out on a digital platform, tourists have more time to enjoy their vacation, while accommodation establishments also improve service quality and operating efficiency.
