200 banh xeo panes serve tens of thousands of people for free at a festival in An Giang

    An Giang - 200 pancakes of red sticky rice cake have been on fire continuously for 3 days to serve people and tourists attending the Nguyen Trung Truc festival.

    The traditional festival to celebrate the 157th anniversary of the sacrifice of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc took place over 3 days, from October 17 to 19 (February 26 to 28 of the lunar calendar). In addition to the traditional ceremony, people and tourists also participate in many activities of the festival.

    Not afraid of difficulties, hardships, and travel, members of banh xeo farms from other provinces gathered in Rach Gia ward (An Giang) to volunteer to serve the Nguyen Trung Truc festival.
    Ba Le Thi Nen (ngu tinh Dong Thap) - vua luon tay banh xeo tai le hoi chia se: “Trong 3 ngay chinh le nay chung toi se lam hon 50.000 cai banh xeo cho nguoi dan thuong thuc mien phi. Mon an nay khong chi thom ngon ma con dam net van hoa Nam bo. Chung toi bo tri 200 chao do lien tuc vi so luong nguoi den an rat dong, lam khong ngung tay”
    Ms. Le Thi Nen (residing in Dong Thap province) - on duty at the banh xeo farm at the festival, shared: "During these 3 days, we will make more than 50,000 banh xeo for people to enjoy for free. This dish is not only delicious but also imbued with Southern culture. We arranged 200 pots to pour continuously because the number of people coming to eat was very large, making it impossible to stop."
    Chi Nguyen Thuy Hang – Pho ban dieu hanh to chuc va van dong nguon tai tro Trai banh xeo chia se: “Chung toi bo tri hang rao chan, mai che mat cho nguoi lam va nguoi den nhan banh.     Ms. Nguyen Thuy Hang - Deputy Executive Committee for organizing and mobilizing sponsorship funds for the Banh Xeo Farm shared: "We have arranged fences and shelters for workers and those who come to receive the cakes. Notify everyone via loudspeaker that when they come to receive the cakes, they can line up to receive the cakes at the table or take them home. We also put food safety and hygiene first, we check the input and output raw materials, where the imported and purchased goods must have clear origin and source. How to ensure everyone's delicious food and good health".
    Anh Pham Minh Tan, nguoi dan tinh An Giang hao hung cho biet: “Do an rat ngon, toi rat thich banh xeo. Moi nguoi di le hoi dong vui, ai cung nhiet tinh moi an uong mien phi. Nguoi dan hay du khach cung deu duoc phuc vu tan tinh, chu dao”.
    Mr. Pham Minh Tan, a resident of An Giang province, excitedly said: "The food is very delicious, I really like banh xeo. Everyone went to the festival happily, everyone enthusiastically invited them to eat for free. Both local people and tourists are served wholeheartedly and thoughtfully.
    Chi Tran Thi Hong Thanh nguoi dan tinh An Giang chia se: “Moi nguoi den day khong chi thap huong, cung bai ong Nguyen ma con duoc tham gia nhieu phan hoi khac. Ve an uong thi tat ca mien phi, moi nguoi cung nhau an uong rat vui du cho la xa la. Toi cam giac nhu con chau trong nha quay quan lai sum hop trong dam gio, moi nguoi cung nhau lam, cung nhau an, cung huong loc cua Ong Nguyen”.
    Ms. Nguyen Thi Chi, a resident of An Giang province, shared: People who come here not only burn incense and worship Mr. Nguyen but also participate in many other festivals. Everyone was very happy eating together even though it was strange. I felt like my children and grandchildren gathered at the memorial service, everyone worked together, ate together, and enjoyed Mr. Nguyen's benefits together."
