These 38 people were among about 90 tourists who arrived in Jeju from Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa) on a chartered flight on November 14, according to information from the Jeju Island tourism management agency on December 3.

These 38 people disappeared at the last stop of the group's journey, before the scheduled departure time of the flight back to Vietnam on November 17. Meanwhile, the remaining members of the group had boarded a flight back to Vietnam.
