On July 23, the Da Nang Enjoyment Festival 2026 will open with the highlight being a real-scene art program held for the first time at My Khe beach.
The organizers have transformed the natural space of the beach into an outdoor stage with the symbol of sails reaching out to sea.
Using musical language and lighting technology, the play recreates the historical flow from the upper reaches of the Thu Bon River to the vast ocean, connecting the stories of craft villages, ancient trading ports and the development of modern Da Nang city.
This event kicks off a series of cultural, sports and culinary activities taking place continuously from July 22 to July 26 at Bien Dong Park and tourist beaches in the city.
According to the Da Nang Statistics Office, in the first 6 months of 2026, the city's GRDP is estimated to increase by 9.52% compared to the same period last year. In which, the service sector plays a role as the main driving force with a growth rate of 9.31%, contributing 4.95 percentage points to the overall increase and accounting for 54.93% of the local economic structure.
Also in the first half of the year, accommodation establishments in the area served nearly 9.78 million visitors, achieving a growth rate of 22.5%. The number of international visitors reached 5.16 million, an increase of 28.7% and domestic visitors reached 4.62 million, an increase of 16.2%. This result brought in revenue from accommodation and catering services estimated at 32,400 billion VND, an increase of 21.6%, and revenue from travel services reached 2,350 billion VND, an increase of 10.4% compared to the same period in 2025.
To maintain attraction and optimize economic efficiency, Da Nang's tourism industry is focusing on integrating sports, entertainment, culinary and cultural activities into the Da Nang Enjoyment Festival 2026 program.
