On the morning of May 13, information from leaders of Truong Luu commune said that Truong Luu Commune People's Committee had just organized a working session with the Nguyen Huy family on the plan to build Phuc Giang School and the work of preserving and promoting the cultural heritage values of Truong Luu village.
Attending the working session were leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh province and representatives of relevant departments and agencies.
At the working session, delegates exchanged and discussed many contents related to planning orientations, plans to build Phuc Giang School associated with the preservation and promotion of the traditional cultural heritage values of Truong Luu village.
Representatives of the Nguyen Huy lineage have proposed and recommended a number of contents to preserve the historical and cultural values of the lineage associated with Truong Luu heritage, and at the same time wish to continue to receive attention and support from levels and sectors in the implementation process.
Speaking at the working session, Mr. Nguyen Viet Truong - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh province emphasized that Phuc Giang School Woodblocks are one of the three documentary heritages recognized by UNESCO in the World Memory Program for the Asia-Pacific region.
The construction of Phuc Giang School, preserving and promoting heritage values is of great significance in educating the tradition of studiousness, contributing to promoting the image of the homeland, and promoting local culture and tourism development.
The Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh also exchanged contents and procedures on building Phuc Giang School and the work of preserving and promoting the cultural heritage values of Truong Luu village according to their authority.
Through the working session, delegates agreed to continue to strengthen coordination, research, and develop specific plans to gradually effectively implement the construction of Phuc Giang School associated with preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of Truong Luu village.
